Euro Disney, the operators of Disneyland Resort Paris with its Mickey Mouse themed Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios announced today an operating profit of 1.3 million Euros in its latest trading figures up until the end of March. This was opposed to a loss of 36.3 million Euros a year earlier as turnover figures leapt by 18 percent to Euros 605 million from Euros 512 million a year before.
Turnover at its theme parks, Disneyland Park, Walt Disney Studios and Disney Village climbed 17 percent to 316.4 million Euros, as the number of visitors grew by 0.9 million to 7.0 million and average spending per visitor rose 2 percent. At the Disney themed hotels, revenues jumped 15 percent to 235.9 million Euros as average spend per room climbed 10 percent and the average occupancy rate improved by over 5 percent to 88.5 percent.
